Sometimes it takes a theoretical opponent to keep the record straight…

I kind of like this exchange, where anon accused me of arguing that full communism is possible long before it was demonstrated by the sudden shutdown to contain the pandemic.

Do you think that current day capitalist countries are “economically prepared for full communism”?

The world market as a whole is fully prepared for this event. I think it is important not be distracted by the fact that in certain regions conditions are still very primitive in terms of communism. The explanation for the backwardness of these regions is that huge resources are today bound up in the few advanced countries in an effort to prevent just such a transition. Massive quantities of excess capital are being funneled into the US to, among other things, maintain a mostly unproductive labor force that is creating huge engines of destruction with which to threaten the rest of the planet. The only hope for putting an end to this and wage slavery in general is to withhold our labor. Unless we end wage slavery in the advanced countries, the less developed regions have little hope of advancing in the short term, if ever.

Are you going to answer the question?

I thought i did when i said: “The world market as a whole is fully prepared for this event.” Perhaps you need me to clarify? In that case, I will: Current day capitalist countries are economically prepared for full communism – immediately and with no qualifications. We could stop wage labor and all labor today and enjoy full communism immediately.

What do you base this on? The global falling rate of profit is a great indicator of capitalist automation, for example. Unless you think that higher phase communism is possible without almost complete automation, you have to admit that there’s still a lot of work to be done, scarcity to tackle, etc.

I base on the emprical evidence of the pandemic shutdown. Employment ground to a halt, yet shelves never went empty. No one starved. No one was homeless. Prices FELL!

That’s what I base it on.

reminder: this pseud was saying the same 5 years before Covid. He’s making shit up as we go, anything that “supports” his preconceived beliefs is ok in his book.

Comrade, thank you for pointing out that I have been saying the same thing about wage labor for a long time. When I said [full communism is possible, right now] before Covid, no one believed me. They told me I had no idea what I was talking about. That I was just making things up. They would not take my data seriously.

Then Covid hit and they shut down the entire global economy. And what happened? NO ONE STARVED – JUST AS I PREDICTED. It turned out I was right all along. Thanks for pointing this out, comrade! I am always happy to have people like you to keep the record straight.
